Lisa Hassenger
– Founder & CEO, Acceptional Ministries
Lisa is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Acceptional Ministries, a Christ-centered nonprofit committed to creating inclusive, faith-based housing and community support for individuals with disabilities. The vision for Acceptional Ministries was born from both personal experience and a deep calling to reflect God’s heart for every individual.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University in Maryland. Her early career was in benefits administration, where she gained valuable experience in navigating complex systems and advocating for individuals and families. However, her most transformative and cherished role has been as Ethan and Alex’s mom—especially as the proud parent of Alex, her 18-year-old son with level 2 autism. This personal journey has given her firsthand insight into the needs, challenges, and joys of raising a child with special needs, making her uniquely qualified and deeply passionate about serving on this board.
In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Lisa is a business owner and operator of Christian Brothers Automotive in Litchfield Park and Goodyear, Arizona. She brings to the board a blend of strategic thinking, entrepreneurial insight, and heartfelt advocacy rooted in faith. Her mission through Acceptional Ministries is to build communities where individuals with disabilities and their families experience belonging, dignity, and the love of Christ.
