Megan Burgemeyer

Family Support Champion

Megan Burgemeyer serves as the Family Support Champion for Acceptional Ministries. She brings a deep passion for encouraging and equipping families, especially those navigating the journey of disability.

Megan currently works as a Student Support Technician at an elementary school, where she supports children with diverse needs. With years of hands-on experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in both school and home environments, Megan has a unique understanding of the challenges families face—and the hope that can be found through faith and community.

Her heart for helping others is deeply personal. As the mother of a 17-year-old son with autism, Megan has spent years researching and seeking out resources for her own family, and now she’s excited to walk alongside others on a similar path. She believes that in every step, there’s an opportunity to glorify God.

Acceptional Ministries is close to Megan’s heart because it brings together two things she’s passionate about: loving people well and shining God’s light. Her favorite verse, Matthew 5:16, inspires her daily:  “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Megan is married to the love of her life and, when she’s not serving others, she enjoys creating delicious sourdough masterpieces for family and friends.
